The Sea Scout Ship Nautilus attended the Napa Mini Regatta and Bridge of Honor over Veterans Day weekend. Seven Sea Scouts from the Nautilus were presented their Apprentice at the awards ceremony.
Apprentice is the first rank in Sea Scouts. Youth learn safety skills, basic knots, radio procedures, parts of boats, sailboat identification, and other maritime skills.
The Nautilus Sea Scouts also had a great time learning regatta skills in Napa. Rope climb and Boatswain’s Chair were very popular.
